Thulhaadhoo MP Nazim Rashaad
Thulhaadhoo MP Nazim Rashaad has voted against the ruling party’s three-line whip on Tuesday.
In total, 34 MPs were in attendance during the voting with opposition lawmakers continuing to boycott the sittings.
MP Rashaad was the only pro-government MP that voted against appointing Ahmed Shareef to Elections Commission (EC).
RaajjeTV was unable to contact MP Rashaad.
Journalists have been barred from observing the sittings, and the parliament administration has also blamed a wiring malfunction for not giving the live feed for Tuesday’s sitting.
