Police have yet to question Mohamed Nadheem, the son-in-law of former president Gayoom, after keeping him custody for a month.
His lawyer said Nadheem, the son-in-law of former president Gayoom, has been kept in island prison Dhoonidhoo for a month, and that authorities have not disclosed the reason for his arrest.
In a tweet, lawyer Mahfooz Saeed said: “I understand @PoliceMv officers are really busy and may not find time to investigate and question a detainee. Would like to remind you my client @MNadhym was arrested a month ago and is in dhoonidhoo. Please visit him sometime and let him know why he was arrested. Thank you”.
