Supporters of the opposition coalition held anti-government protests in capital city Malé on Saturday.

Similar to the previous day, the protesters called on authorities to implement the Supreme Court order on February 1 to release nine political prisoners and reinstate 12 MPs.

Protesters gathered on main road Majeedhee Magu at the four-way intersection connecting to Chaandhanee Magu. But police blocked them from moving on to opposition MDP’s campaign site near Artificial Beach.

No one was arrested at the protest.
