‘No corruption’ in First Lady using government vehicles, workers
The First Lady used MRDC officials and vehicles to move equipment from her campaign office
The commission said she had rented the government vehicles to move her office to the FAM building in August
ACC also dismissed a previous case in which the First Lady’s charity organization distributed dates gifted by Saudi Arabia

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has ruled that there was no corruption involved in First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim using employees and vehicles of Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC).

ACC said this after investigating a case regarding the First Lady using MRDC officials and vehicles to move equipment from her campaign office to the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) building.

The commission said she had rented the government vehicles to move her office to the FAM building in August, and that it could not find any legal violations.

ACC also dismissed a previous case in which the First Lady’s charity organization gave out dates gifted to the Maldivian by Saudi Arabia. The dates were also transported to her office by MRDC’s vehicles.
