A pickup truck driver involved in a fatal accident in Addu City on December 26, has been arrested.

The police media officer said the 33-year-old man has been arrested and his vehicle towed.

Arsham Ibrahim (14) was severely injured when his motorcycle struck the pickup trick on Link Road, and died later in Hithadhoo Regional Hospital.

A 21-year-old on the motorcycle was also injured, and has since been transferred to IGMH in Male’ for further treatment. His injuries include a skull fracture and broken legs.
