The Maldives National Defence Force’s coast guard has assisted a vessel that stopped due to a problematic engine.

The coast guard’s northern area command had dispatched its landing craft to assist thirty passengers on board.

The vessel had been travelling from Ihavandhoo of Haa Alif Atoll to Utheemu, and had stopped near Dhonakulhi.

The vessel is operated by Hideaway Resort and Spa, and the passengers included 15 women, 10 men, and five minors.

None of the passengers were injured and had all been taken to their original destination.
