MTCC has tasked a Singaporean company with the construction of two residential towers in Hulhumale’.
The construction of the 15-storey buildings is under the "MTCC Hiyaa Project".
RI Engineering Works Pte Ltd has agreed to design the building and cover the cost of construction.
The company said they will begin construction next week, and complete it within two years.
The towers will feature 152 one-room apartments and 210 three-room apartments.
President Abdulla Yameen has vowed to build 62 25-storey residential towers in Hulhumale’ as part of the government’s social housing project – which aims to house a population of 80,000 in the island.
Government-affiliated companies, which have been tasked with building some of the towers, are currently looking for contractors.
