Maldivian crowned champs of this year’s National Volley League
Maldivian won by beating Army Club

Maldivian Sports and Recreation on Tuesday night was crowned champions of this year’s National Volley League.

The team won after beating the Army Club in the finals, three sets to one. Maldivian took the first set of the game 25-22. Army Club retaliated by taking the second set 25-22. However, Maldivian took the rest two sets, 22-25 and 23-25.

At the end of the finals, Maldivian was at the top of the league with 20 points, with Army Club at 15 points. Sea Life Sports Club came in third with eight points, while Police Club came in fourth with four points.

The dream team consisted of Maldivian’s Ismail Sajid, Hussain Wisham, Fairooz, Sea Life’s Ali Huzam, Army Club’s Anil Naseer and Ahmed Abdul Kareem.

Maldivian’s Murad Jehan was chosen as the best player of the division. Maziya’s Hussain Razzan was declared most promising player of the tournament, while Army Club’s Mumthaz Ali earned the title of Best Coach. Maldivian also earned the title of Fair Play team.
