Fish prices in international market drops, says Fisheries Ministry
Prices of bigeye tuna and skipjack tuna had dropped by a large margin

Domestic prices per kilogram for all types of fish had stayed the same
Fish prices in several international markets dropped in the past few weeks, the Fisheries Ministry said.
The ministry’s records show that a kilogram of bigeye tuna was sold for MVR 249.74 last week, while prices had come down to MVR 191.57.
Prices for skipjack in Thailand tuna had also fallen, while a ton was sold for MVR 35,466 last month, it now goes for MVR 27,756.
However, the price for yellowfin tuna in Spain had stayed the same, priced at MVR 155.64 both this week and last.
Domestic prices per kilogram for all types of fish had stayed the same.
