Hiyaa scheme will change history: Minister Saeed

Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed says the ‘Hiyaa’ housing scheme launched by the President and First Lady will change the status of the nation including its history.

Speaking in the ceremony held to launch the project, Minister Saeed said President Abdullah Yameen consistently spoke of his aspirations for the youth of the nation.

The Minister added the ‘Hiyaa’ scheme was intertwined with the whole of the nation, even the smallest child. As such, he defined the scheme as a project that will change the fate of the nation and citizens.

Minister Saeed said the biggest challenge for the project will be the push back from the opposition. He noted that opposition had sought to hamper the progress of the project, including halting finances. The opposition, he said was constantly harping on this as they would not have anything else to criticize on if the housing scheme was a success.
