Joint Opposition Rally in Dhihdhoo island
Adhaalath Party Foreign Relations Committee chair Shidhatha Shareef has claimed that President Abdullah Yameen openly mocked religious scholars.
Speaking in the joint opposition rally in Dhihdhoo island, Shidhatha called on the hypocrisy of President Yameen using religion as a tool. She said that while President Yameen spoke of defending religion, he himself, on various platforms, had spoken of hired prostitutes from Bangkok.
Shidhatha further alleged that her Party leader, Imran Abdullah was jailed for speaking facts on how a supposedly Islamic nation should be run.
Shidhatha had called on citizens to reflect on the tenure of this administration and to prepare for 2018.
She also challenged this administration, adding that if the joint opposition remained aligned like this, then President Yameen could not hope to win in 2018.
