Addu Meedhoo Constituency MP Rozaina Adam says that citizens will not vote for an incompetent self-proclaimed economist.
Speaking in the joint opposition rally held in Dhihdhoo island, MP Rozaina said the Government specialized in dismantling as a cover for development. Reflecting on the dismantling of the Addu Equatorial Convention Center, MP Rozaina said the Government may be capable of dismantling the entire location but not the love Addu city had for former President Mohamed Nasheed.
She said this Government had expanded corruption in the name of development.
‘Finally, [Anti-Corruption Commission] ACC, after months of silence, said US$1 million had entered President Yameen’s account. Then they say they’ve filed the case. But citizens want to know how this happened,’ she said.
Referring to the statements made by President Yameen that he did not know of the massive corruption, MP Rozaina said citizens needed a ruler who was aware of the situation.
There was no reason public should vote for development that ushered in corruption, she said.
MP Rozaina stressed that in 2018 Presidential elections the entire nation will say no to President Yameen.
