Chief Shiyam landed in India on Tuesday and will return on Thursday

Military chief Ahmed Shiyam has departed to India on a three-day official visit.

The major general is to partake in the Goa Maritime Conclave, forum on maritime security in the Indian Ocean, and is to address other participants on the last day of the forum.

Eight other countries – in addition to Maldives and India – are to participate in it; Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Seychelles, Myanmar, and Bangladesh.

Chief Shiyam landed in India on Tuesday and will return on Thursday.
