Ambassador of the Maldives to Sri Lanka Mohamed Hussain Shareef presents his credentials to SL President Maithiripala Sirisena
Ambassador of the Maldives to Sri Lanka Mohamed Hussain Shareef has finally presented his credentials to Sri Lankan President Maithiripala Sirisena.
Only 28 Parliamentarians had backed the nomination of Shareef for his position.
The credentials were presented to President Sirisena 10.30am on Monday.
He was vetted by the Parliament for the spot in the Parliament sitting on August 23rd.
Ambassador Shareef previously served as Ambassador to Japan and as a Minister for this administration.
