Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed says the whole of Addu City backed incumbent President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayyoom to contest for a second term and govern again.
Speaking in the Yameen faction rally held in Addu City on Saturday night, under the banner ‘Afirinnah Thayyaara’, Minister Saeed said Addu City did not want any other candidate than the President.
He attributed peace for families, return to good values and protection of Islam to President Yameen.
Minister Saeed added that President Yameen is assured of full support from Addu City due to the progress brought to the City.
Defining Addu City as the core of national development, the Minister noted the major international investment projects ongoing in the city.
Reflecting on the various projects carried out for the city under this administration, Minister Saeed reminded that it was a must that President Yameen should be given a second term in office.
He further accused the opposition of slandering the nation in the international arena. Minister Saeed also compared the opposition leaders to story tellers of ancient times. He said the general public had rejected these tales.
