The assault occurred at around 9:15 pm on Thursday in Gan of Laamu Atoll
A young man has been injured in a brutal fight that broke out in the streets of Gan island in Laamu Atoll of Thursday night.
A member of the island’s local government council said that a 19-year-old had been injured in a fight between him and a group of assailants.
The group of four had attacked the young man with a machete and he had sustained injuries to his face and arms, said council member Ismail Zaki.
The police have to comment on the incident.
