The Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has established and opened a collection center in Dhidhdhoo of Haa Alif Atoll and Funadhoo of Shaviyani Atoll.
MIRA’s Comissioner General of Taxation Yazeedh Mohamed and other senior staff had participated in a ceremony held to inaugurate said centers on Saturday.
The collection center in Funadhoo was co-inaugurated by Ali Shameem, chair of the island’s local government council.
The center was founded under MIRA’s ongoing efforts to make its transactions and services available to the outer-lying islands.
Similar centers have been established in 12 atolls thus far.
