The Mulee-aage has discovered metal ‘pins’ found in food brought for a celebration at the president’s residence.

The ‘pins’ were reportedly found in rice, which was especially brought for the celebration of First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim’s birthday.

While the police have confirmed that they are investigating this incident, their media official declined to comment any further.

The Mulee-aage’s official catering service has confirmed this to RaajjeMV.

A source from within the residence said that it is unclear whether the ‘pins’ were put in the food by negligence of the catering service or Mulee-aage’s staff.

“There could be many explanations to this had it been one or two pins, but there were several” the source said.
