Attorney General Mohamed Anil has been seen entering the Supreme Court premises, where he spent several hours.

Witnesses had seen him leaving the court at around 12:15 am on Saturday, and photographs depicting him doing so have begun circulating on social networking platforms.

RaajjeMV understands that Anil was there along with Defence Minister Adam Shareef and Maldives National Defence Force’s Major General Ahmed Shiyam.

The Attorney General’s Office has yet to comment on the matter.

The court had been well-lit during this time, and officers of the Maldives Police Service had been active there.
