Bank of Maldives has signed on as the official banking partner for the special "Rashu Expo", which is being held to promote island tourism and the culture and traditions of the islands.
In a statement publicized on Tuesday, the country’s national bank revealed that they have officially become the banking partner for Rashu Expo.
Regarding the agreement, BML’s Chief Business Officer Moosa Nimal said that it is an honor for BML to have the opportunity to participate in such an expo that connects with many citizens. He also expressed hope that this will become an important expo that connects businesses and the general public.
Further, Dr. Hussain Sunny Umar, Director of The Travel Guyz, highlighted that the country’s national bank becoming the banking partner for Rashu Expo mirrors the importance the bank places on advancing local tourism in the Maldives.
He also stated that the participation of the company that provides the most extensive banking services in the Maldives is an additional advancement for the expo. In addition to this, he said that this is evidence of BML's prioritization of the development of emerging companies in the tourism sector and island development.
“Rashu Expo” is scheduled to be held from February 13 – 15.
It will be held at the Hulhumalé Central Park.
The expo will feature several stalls showcasing products from island councils, guesthouses, and small and medium enterprises.
