The mother of Fazna Ahmed, wife of former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, has passed away.

RaajjeMV understands that, Fazna's mother, Zameera Umar, passed away on Friday afternoon.

A reliable source confirmed to RaajjeMV that she passed away moments ago while receiving emergency treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) after being admitted due to an illness.

Zameera Umar was also the maternal aunt of former President Mohamed Nasheed.
