MPs Saud, Ameeth arrested on July 27
MPs stripped from their Parliament seats

Vilingili Constituency MP Saud Hussain and Maduvvari Constituency MP Mohamed Ameeth has been released.

The two were arrested on July 27th on charges obstruction, after having attempted to enter Parliament premises, after Elections Commission had stripped them from their Parliament seats.

They were released on Sunday, after being taken to Court for their remand extension hearings.

MPs Ameeth and Saud were released with stipulations. The two have been ordered to remain home every day, from 9pm to 7am.

MPs Ameeth, Saud and Thulusdhoo Constituency MP Mohamed Waheed has been charged with obstruction charges and having entered Parliament premises when it was closed off.

MP Waheed was released on Thursday, also on stipulations.
