Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) Northern Area Deputy Major Commander Ahmed Athif has passed away.

He was serving as Northern Area Deputy Major Commander in Hanimaadhoo island at time of death.

RaajjeMV understands that the Major, who has had three decades of service to MNDF, was found dead in his room at around noon on Sunday. His body is in Hanimaadhoo Health Center.

The late Athif had earned the National Service Award.

He had served as a Judge in ‘Voice of MNDF’.
