A body has been found inside a house in the congested capital, Malé City.
The deceased has been identified as Abdulla Hassan, 53.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has revealed that they received a report on Tuesday morning about a person who was unconscious inside a house on Gulaabeemaagu, and that police went to the scene and rushed the unconscious person to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).
The police institution said that the hospital had informed them that the man was already dead when brought in.
MPS also cited the hospital having informed them that there were no visible injuries on the body.
Further investigations are currently underway in connection with the case.
While a dead person has been found inside a house in the congested capital city, the body of a deceased man was also found in the lagoon of Hulhumalé Phase I on Monday evening.
