The body of the 11 year old boy brought to Male'
The body of an 11-year-old boy who had allegedly committed suicide, brought to the capital Malé City, is still in the mortuary, Police said.
His body, which was discovered at around 2 pm on Tuesday, was transferred to Malé from Noonu Maalhendhoo at around 9:50 am on Wednesday.
Police said the case was under investigation and no details can be divulged.
The body was brought to Male’ on the 9th of this month for tests. He will be buried after conducting the tests.
Noonu Maalhendhoo Council President Mohamed Shah told RaajjeMV that the police are yet to confirm the cause of death, adding that there are reports that he had "strangulation marks". He also said the boy was found hanging from bedroom door.
The boy had been residing with his parents and two siblings.
