A man wanted in connection with a case of fraud, has been summoned publicly.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) on Wednesday publicized the summons notice for the man who is wanted in connection with an ongoing probe into a case of fraud.

MPS revealed that the case is being investigated by the police station in Kelaa island of Haa Alif atoll.

The police institution revealed that the summons notice was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate the suspect and handover his summons notice have been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track him down.

The summons was issued in accordance with Section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.

Summoned is Ali Ibrahim, 22 and native to Gadhdhoo island in Gaaf Dhaal atoll

Ali is wanted for questioning in connection with the case.

The suspect is to present himself to the Sergeant Adam Haleem Crime Investigation Building or the police station closest to him at 11am on June 24.
