President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has co-chaired the Interactive Dialogue, "Revitalizing SIDS' Economies for Accelerated and Sustainable Growth".
The Maldivian leader co-chaired the event on the sidelines of the fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS), being held in Antigua and Barbuda from May 27 – 30.
Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering of the Republic of Finland Anders Adlercreutz co-chaired the dialogue with President Muizzu.
President Muizzu delivered opening and closing remarks during the dialogue as the co-chair.
The interactive dialogue held a fireside chat with President of the Conference and Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne and Secretary of the Interior, Department of the Interior of the United States of America Debra Anne Haaland, as participants, with Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme Achim Steiner as moderator.
Further, the dialogue also held two presentations by panelists Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Rebeca Grynspan and Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Gerd Müller.
The dialogue saw several Heads of State and Delegations attending the SIDS4 Summit delivering interventions.
This is the first of five interactive dialogues at the SIDS conference.
