One is being treated for injuries in a road accident in capital Malé City.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the accident occurred after two motorcycles collided near the Dharubaaruge traffic light.

The accident was reported to MPS at around 06:54am on Sunday.

One of the individuals riding the motorcycles that collided, was rushed to ADK Hospital for treatment.

Being treated for injuries attained in the collision is a 19-year-old Maldivian man.

Further investigations are currently underway at the police institution.
