Details of a man wanted for questioning in connection with an ongoing probe, have been publicized.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the case is being investigated by their Drug Enforcement Department (DED).
The summons notice was publicized as the authority’s efforts to locate the suspect and handover his summons notice have been to no avail so far, and as the MPS has been unable to track him down.
The summons was issued in accordance with section 27 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to be followed by the police while investigating criminal cases.
Summoned is Ali Anim, 24 and native to Gan island of Laamu atoll.
Police revealed that the suspect is being summoned for questioning regarding the case being investigation by their DED.
The man is to present himself to the Sergeant Adam Haleem Crime Investigation Building or the police station closest to him at 11am on May 21.
