The Maldives Meteorological Service (MMS) has issued a yellow alert for torrential rain and thunderstorms.
The yellow alert is part of a series of alerts, both white and yellow, being issued across the Maldives over the past couple of days as adverse weather conditions continue to prevail across the Maldives.
The alert was issued for torrential rain and thunderstorms expected to prevail across Haa Alif atoll and Vaavu atoll.
The yellow alert will be effective through 09:30pm, Sunday.
The department earlier issued a white alert from Haa Alif atoll to Vaavu atoll.
