Under Secretary at the President’s Office during the former Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) administration, Ibrahim Rasheed, more commonly known as Hoara Ibbe, has passed away.

RaajjeMV understands that Rasheed passed away on Friday while receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH).

He is to have suffered a heart attack, according to close associates.

However, RaajjeMV is yet to confirm this, as the station’s attempts to contact his family have been to no avail so far.

RaajjeMV understands that he was taken to the hospital some time on Friday morning.

Having delivered opening remarks at the political activities of MDP when it first began hosting events, Rasheed was a skilled presenter.
