Ahmed Ashfan has been appointed as the Deputy Controller of Immigration.
In a post on social media platform ‘X’ on Wednesday, Maldives Immigration congratulated and welcomed Ashfan as their newly appointed Deputy Controller of Immigration.
The department went on to express hope that they will observe further success, under his guidance.
Ashfan has more than 18 years of experience in the field, as an immigration officer.
Ibrahim Ashraf filled the position earlier.
Ashfan is also known for his skills, among the country’s football community, having once played for the Maldives National Football Team. He filled multiple positions in the sports sector and competed in a number of competitions as well.
Ashfan is the brother of the national team’s captain, Ali Ashfaq.
