Council members of Maduvvari island of Meemu atoll have shared their development needs with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

This was done during a meeting he held with the island’s council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) members on Wednesday.

The meeting saw Maduvvari councilors shedding light on the importance of protecting the eroding areas on the island, as well as establishing an island harbor that is safe for the island residents and visitors to use.

Councilors also shared challenges linked to the space limitations at the island’s school as well as the absence of doctors stationed for long hours at the island’s health center.
