Council members in Mulhadhoo island of Haa Alif atoll have proposed changes to ongoing development projects on the island.
This was done during a meeting President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu held with the island’s council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) on Saturday.
The meeting saw councilors proposing changes to ongoing projects, such as the health center, the harbor and sports facilities.
As such, the councilors proposed to upgrade the health center, widen the harbor, carry out projects to meet the needs of the youth community and to enhance sports facilities.
Speaking at the meeting, Mulhadhoo WDC members shared difficulties caused by budget constraints, with the president.
Listening to these concerns, the president highlighted that allowances can only be arranged through the People’s Majlis and that the government would seek a solution.
Muizzu stated that the administration would work to implement the changes sought by the council, to the best of its ability.
