President Muizzu accepted Anisa Ahmed’s resignation through a letter

Ahmed ‘Kashima’ Shakir has been appointed as the chairperson of the National Awards Committee.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu made the appointment on Sunday.
The appointment comes after the resignation of Anisa Ahmed, recipient of the Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddin (O.D.R.I.).
Anisa Ahmed tendered her resignation as chairperson of the National Awards Committee, citing issues related to health.
President Muizzu accepted Anisa Ahmed’s resignation through a letter.
He went on to express gratitude for her valuable services which she delivered with honesty and integrity over a long tenure as the chairperson of the National Awards Committee.
Alongside this change, member of the National Award Committee Ibrahim Ismail Ali, the recipient of the Order of the Dignified Rule of the Muleege Dynasty (O.D.R.M.D.) was appointed as a Minister of State for Social and Family Development on 14 December 2023.
With this, the president had appointed Badhuru Naseer, the recipient of the Order of the Dignified Rule of Dhiyamigili Dynasty (O.D.R.D.D.) as a new member of the National Award Committee.
