President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has toured the Huawei Beijing Convention Center.

He visited the center on Thursday, as part of the Maldivian First Couple’s ongoing state visit to China.

High-ranking representatives from Huawei accorded a warm welcome to the Maldivian president and his delegation upon arrival.

Sharing substantive information on their recent innovations, the Huawei representatives also briefed the Maldivian president on how these advancements would facilitate both governments and individuals in enhancing daily operations.

Further, the team delivered a comprehensive presentation on the benefits of digitalization to the visiting delegation.

The presentation revolved around the advantages of digitalization in addressing global challenges.

The team from Huawei shed light on their services such as networking solutions for promoting smart governments and green economies.

President Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed departed to the People’s Republic of China on a state visit on January 7. The state visit is being conducted upon an official invitation from the President of China, Xi Jinping. The first couple is accompanied by a high-level delegation of government officials during the visit.

The Maldivian First Couple is undertaking a visit to China at a time relations between India and Maldives have soured once again, over posts on social media platform ‘X’ by deputy ministers close to the president.
