The Maldives Inland Revenue authority (MIRA) has organized its annual ‘Tax Week’ for August.
The revenue authority said that it would launch its mobile application at this event, while also conferring the ‘Ran Laari’ award. This award will be given to businesses – in a number of industries – that have consistently paid the most in taxes to the authority.
An official from MIRA said that this is an ideal opportunity for members of the general public to get an insight into the function and operation of the authority.
MIRA’s fifth 'Tax Week' will be held from 6th August to the 11th.
