President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu stated that his Administration has no plans to seek salary increases for the President, Vice president, and Ministers.

The President disclosed this via a post on platform X.

The President stated that the parliamentary committee's decision was made without consultation with the Administration and that the compensation benefits associated with the relocation will be donated to a social fund, such as the Children's Home.

The decision to raise the President, Vice President, and ministers' salaries was made by a parliamentary committee.

The Chief Spokesperson at the President's Office, Mohamed Shahyb, via a post on platform X, stated that such a decision was made at this time by a committee with majority MDP members to sow discord and incite hatred.
