President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed nine new Deputy Ministers to Government Ministries.
The appointments made on Wednesday are;
- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs – Ali Janah
- Deputy Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works – Mohamed Arif
- Deputy Minister of Homeland Security and Technology - Mariyam Shifana Ali Saleem
- Deputy Minister of Finance - Hassan Miras
- Deputy Minister of Education - Aminath Muna
- Deputy Minister of Tourism - Ahmed Maais
- Deputy Minister of Housing, Land and Urban Development – Ibrahim Aleem
- Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare – Fathimath Zuhura
- Deputy Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts – Abdulla Mahzoom Majid
The number of deputy ministers appointed to the 22 government ministries has surpassed 70 following the new appointments made on Wednesday.
