President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially renamed the "Malé Hospitals Board of Trustees" as the "Malé City Group of Hospitals' Governing Board".

The change was announced on Tuesday.

Malé City Group of Hospitals' Governing Board is responsible for the management of Dharumavantha Hospital, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), Hulhumalé Hospital, and Villimalé Hospital.

The Malé City Group of Hospitals' Governing Board will be administratively overseen under the purview of the Ministry of Health.

President's Office states that this change initiated by the President signifies a reconstitution of the governing board.
