Pres-elect expresses desire to further strengthen ties with Islamic nations

President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed his desire to further strengthen ties with Islamic nations.

Dr. Muizzu made this remarks during his meeting the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Maldives, Matrek Abdullah Al-Ajalin Aldosari.

The meeting took place on Saturday, and Dr. Muizzu was accompanied by the Vice-President-elect Hussain Mohamed Latheef.

During the meeting, the President-elect and the Saudi Ambassador held discussions on the possibilities of further strengthening bilateral relations between Maldives and Saudi Arabia.

Expressing his gratitude to Saudi Arabia for the development projects implemented in Maldives with their assistance, Dr. Muizzu requested Saudi assistance in completing his Presidential pledges.

The Saudi ambassador gave Dr. Muizzu his word that the Saudi government would continue to help and work with the Maldives on multiple initiatives.
