A fire broke out in an abandoned house in Villimale' on Saturday.
Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) disclosed that the fire was reported to the Villimale' Fire Station at around 05:12 am on Saturday.
Information disclosed by MNDF states that the fire broke out in a vacant house called "Basmala".
The fire broke out in two rooms of the house that had been turned into a workshop and contained some equipment required for AC repair work.
MNDF states that the fire was extinguished by the firefighters at around 05:55 am.
No injuries were reported in the fire. However, MNDF disclosed that the fire destroyed some items in the two rooms and a toilet.
