President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has made some requests from the newly elected government.
He made this statement while speaking at a presser held the President's Office on Monday.
Speaking at the presser, the President said he wanted to ask the new government for two things.
The two requests made by President Solih were to practice good governance and to carry out projects that would aid in the development of the Maldives.
Incumbent administration is implementing various development projects all throughout the country. These include harbor development projects, road development projects, housing projects and land reclamation projects.
In addition, the government has made many efforts to establish peace in the country.
President Solih met with President elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu at the President's Office, on Sunday, where he stated that he accepted the people's decision and would take all necessary steps in accordance with the law, during the transition process.
The President said he would try to make the transition process as smooth as possible.
