A vehicle traveling on Sinamalé Bridge, has caught fire.

The incident occurred sometime on Saturday evening, when a car traveling on the bridge caught fire.

Witnesses who were at the scene confirmed to RaajjeMV that the car caught fire while it was traveling.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) and relevant authorities had dispatched a team of officers to the scene shortly after, in an attempt to ensure public safety and security.

RaajjeMV was unable to attain a comment from the police institution at the time of publishing, regarding the cause of the fire.
