The harbor extension and jetty construction project initiated in Dhidhdhoo island of Haa Alif atoll is well underway.
This was revealed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Thursday.
As such, providing the latest updates of the Dhidhdhoo harbor extension and jetty construction project to the public, MTCC revealed that the second shipment of rock boulders for the project has been delivered to the project site.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to carry out dredging and excavation operations of 78,000 cubic meters.
The company is also required to construct a breakwater measuring 378 meters and a groyne measuring 58 meters.
A revetment measuring 478 meters and a quay wall measuring 630 meters also come under the project.
MTCC will also be constructing a harbor pavement measuring 6,858 square meters and jetty.
The installation of navigational lights and harbor lights also comes under the scope of the Dhidhdhoo harbor extension and jetty construction project.
The project is valued at MVR 70.59 million.
