President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has called on the public to devote more time this Ramadan to religious obligations and practices.
He made this appeal on Wednesday in his message to the nation on the occasion of the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan 1444 .
In his message, the President called on the people to devote more time this Ramadan to religious obligations and practices, be more attentive to performing the daily prayers and the Tarawih prayers, and spend more time reciting the Holy Quran.
In his address, the President stated that the holy month of Ramadan is a time to promote compassion, embrace the Islamic values of generosity and empathy, and devote more time to religious practices, including making dua.
President Solih added that it was a time to rid ourselves of immoral deeds, rekindle familial and neighborly bonds, and strive towards the righteous path.
The President emphasized that the most powerful spiritual lesson of the month is to revive our Islamic faith , strengthening the bond with the Almighty Allah while promoting peace, kinship, and kindness in the society.
The President concluded his message by praying for the blessings and spiritual rewards of the holy month for the Islamic Ummah.
