PG backs, supports all Ministers: Nihan
No talk within PG over support for Ministers

Ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) PG Leader and Vilimale Constituency MP Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik says all Ministers have the full support and backing of the Group.
Speaking to Raajje.mv regarding the calls made by MP Ahmed on Fisheries Minister Dr. Shainee to resign, MP Nihan said that was the personal view of the MP, adding that he was not responsible for the personal views of any MP. Nihan said all MPs were welcome to share their views on any topic, adding that he cannot be held responsible for that in his position as leader of the Group.
Nihan said there was no talk within the PG regarding the issue of support for Cabinet Ministers, pointing out that no Minister had been sent to the Government Oversight Committee in the Parliament for review. If there was an issue of support for any Minister, Nihan said their case will be sent to Committee for review.
Mahibadhoo Constituency Parliamentarian and PG member Ahmed Thoriq had called on Fisheries Minister Dr. Mohamed Shainee to resign, in light of the many issues that plague the Fisheries sector. Thoriq said a solution cannot be found for the issues facing the nation’s fisheries sector with Dr. Shainee at the helm of the Ministry.
Minister Shainee is yet to issue a response to these allegations, preferring to end the discussions with a smile emoji.
