MTCC mobilizes HA. Thakandhoo Channel Breakwater Upgrade, Shore Protection Project
The channel breakwater upgrade and shore protection project in Thakandhoo island of Haa Alif atoll, has been mobilized.
This was revealed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) in a publication on Thursday.
As such, the company revealed that they mobilized the project site in Thakandhoo, on Wednesday.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC is required to conduct harbor dredging operations in an area measuring 4,455 cubic meters as well as channel dredging operations in an area measuring 2,230 cubic meters.
The company is also contracted to construct a breakwater measuring 252 meters, a revetment measuring 160 meters and a 126-meter groyne.
The installation of a harbor pavement measuring 883 square meters as well as harbor lights and navigation lights, also come under the scope of the project.
The channel breakwater upgrade and shore protection project in Thakandhoo island is valued at MVR 22.39 million.
