President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has concluded his two-day official visit to three islands of Gaaf Alif Atoll.
During the tour the President visited Dhaandhoo, Nilandhoo, and Maamendhoo Island, of the atoll.
President Solih's first stop of the tour was Dhaandhoo Island. This was the first visit to the island by a sitting President over the past ten years.
During his visit to the island, the President attended the ceremony held to mark the completion of land reclamation in the island and called on the public to continue supporting the administration’s nation-building and developmental efforts.
Speaking at the function, the President highlighted that the public accepted and supported the administration for the development and progress it had delivered over the past four years. He stated that the administration had helped the people realize their aspirations for essential services, social peace and harmony, and freedom of speech and expression.
The President also met with the island council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) of Dhaandhoo Island. The discussions at the meeting focused on the island community's most pertinent needs and concerns.
At the meeting, President Solih shared the latest details of the administration's developmental plans for the island and assured the members of the administration's commitment to finding amicable solutions to the concerns of the island's residents.
Additionally, the President met with the community of Dhaandhoo Island and assured the community that the administration will address their needs.
His second stop of the tour was Nilandhoo Island.
President Solih attended the official inauguration of new powerhouses developed on the Nilandhoo and assured the public that the administration is committed to deliver the developmental aspirations and progress envisioned by the people.
He stated that his administration's policy was to promote equitable development and provide essential services to all islands, regardless of size or population.
The President also met with the island council and WDC of Nilandhoo Island. The Island Council and WDC members expressed their contentedness with the developmental progress of the island under the current administration.
Before leaving to the third and last destination of the tour, President Solih sat down with the island community of Nilandhoo and listened to their pertinent needs. The meeting saw the community applauding the administration’s policy of ensuring equitable development, regardless of the size or population of the respective islands.
President Solih's last stop of the tour was Maamendhoo Island.

He also stated that his administration’s primary responsibility was to ensure those rights and freedoms and the equitable development of essential services across the country.

President Solih on Saturday, met with the community of Maamendhoo Island as part of his visit. Speaking at the meeting, President Solih assured the administration's commitment to consult with and seek the public's opinion on its developmental plans.
President Solih concluded his tour of Gaaf Alif Atoll and returned to Male' City on Saturday evening.
