25 storey hospital tower will bolster service three-fold: IGMH
The massive USD 40 million project is especially meant to harbour a national diagnostics center
The tower is to also include a child care center, a gym, and a rehabilitation suite
IGMH said that the tower would greatly increase lobby services for out-patients in addition to bringing key advancements to its departments on radiology and sports medicine

Services extended by the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) will increase ‘three-fold’ once the construction of its 25 storey addition is complete, the state-operated hospital said.

Ahmed Mausoom, the hospital’s Director of Public Relations and Media, told RaajjeMV that given how the biggest obstacle to its staff currently is land limitation, the tower – a massive USD 40 million project especially meant to harbour a national diagnostics center – would greatly supplement its work.

Mausoom said that this includes increasing the hospital’s total bed capacity to 500 and placing two more MRI machines and CT scanners.

He futher said that the tower would greatly increase lobby services for out-patients in addition to bringing key advancements to its departments on radiology and sports medicine.

The tower, which the government has said would be complete by 2018, is to also include a child care center, a gym, and a rehabilitation suite, Mausoom said.
